Susan's first book:

Published in October, 1989, Bittersweet Betrayal  was nominated for Best Special Edition of the year by Romantic Times magazine. Shortly after this book was published, Suzanne Ashley fell into a coma from which she has yet to emerge. We aren't sure, but we think it was poisoned mushrooms.
